I knew an Angelique (often Angie) when I was growing up in California. She pronounced it ANN-zhe-LEEK. I like the name, but it might only be because I liked her... I'm not sure. I like other -eek names, and I like Angela, so maybe I do like it. I like it more than Angelica, Angelina, and Angeline but not more than Angela. To me it has a "French borrowing trend" vibe and goes with names like Denise, Jacqueline, Aimee, Michelle, Stephanie, Nicole, Renee, Christine. It'd be surprising to see it as a baby name, where I live.- mirfak
