Actress Kate Hudson and partner Danny Fujikawa welcomed their first child together on October, 2 2018.
The baby is named Rani Rose.
She joins older siblings: Ryder Russell (14) and Bingham Hawn (7).
Rani is one of those names that have multiple meanings: queen (Sanskrit), my joy (Hebrew) and to observe (Arabic) .
But I don't know if she used Kanji to make a Japanese name. Has Rani a meaning in this language?

I would have liked Rani if they had pronounced it the way it's written (similar to Dani)... but they actually pronounce it the same as Ronnie (in honour of the baby's paternal grandfather), which in my eyes is counterintuitive. The little girl will have to spend her whole life correcting people about the pronunciation of her name.
