It might be a bit soccer mom (I know one in fact haha - well, lacrosse, but same difference), however, I like it and think it could totally be used. I think Susanna/Suzanne/Susanne/Suzana, etc. might realistically come back first, but Susan is short and sweet and people who like names like Lucy could get behind Susy/Suzie.

It's a grandmother name where I live.

I quite like Susan, but the only nn I enjoy is Susie - Sue does nothing for me at all. So I wouldn't use it: Susannah is a family name which I could use as a mn, but as a fn I'd go for either Suzanne or Suzette.

For some reason, one of my mother's friends nicknamed her Susie - her only given name was Beatrice! I suppose that's why I like Susie. She seemed to attract random nns: another friend always called her Bess.

I like Susan, though it's a tad stale to me. I like the nicknames Zuzu, Sukey, and Sunny.

I think there are still too many Susans around for it to feel fresh on a baby. It was top 10 here from the 1940s to the 1960s, and the number one name for much of that time. Maybe in twenty years.
I like it too: feminine but not frilly, and pleasing to say.

Susan is a beautiful name; for me, no other association can belittle this. However if I were a Susan, I'd hate to be called Sue.

I like it. It's fairly simple and I think it's pretty. I prefer Susannah, mostly because I don't like Sue and Susannah has more options.

maybe! but if i had to place it, it's less soccer mom and more conservative politician to me. so that puts me off. i prefer Susanna- doesn't give me that vibe, has way less bad namesakes to me, feels more classic, more distinct, and sounds less abrupt. but i can appreciate the simplicity of Susan, and how it's a bit less frilly than Susanna.

I like the Narnia character, but Susan itself seems bland, dated, and stuffy to me. (But it's better than Susanne, Susanna, etc.) I think it's a little more dated than a "soccer mom" name.

I know 1 Susan in her 30s that goes by Suze and one who's in her 60s.
I don't think the name is ready for a comeback.

I have an older friend named Susan (in her 60's) and I associate this name with Narnia a la Susan Pensieve.

It doesn't seem soccer mom to me. Susans are grandmothers now. I really like Susan and always have. It's one of the only names from that midcentury era that I really like. I've always liked the combo Rebecca Susan.
