I think Magnolia is lovely for a name, particularly with the nn Maggie. I love Magnolia trees though, so maybe that helps.

I like it, but I view it more as a GP.

It’s pretty, but to me it’s one of those word names that sounds more wordy than namey.

It's a nickname my Nana uses for me sometimes so that's my first impression. It's cute, sort of vintage and easy to find a nickname for. I feel like this would belong to a Southern girl.

I don't like it as a name, but it's an awesomely random nickname for your grandmother to give you. Is it her favourite flower? My grandmother used to call my sister 'My Lily' and me 'Cherry Pie'. She loved her garden

Hi !!!It is gorgeous!I pronounce it with 'gn' as the Spanish 'ñ' but sometimes, especially if It would be a name, I use the softer ma-NYO-lya. It is a bit incorrect in Italian but It is not a real mistake if Magnolia is written correctly so I find the 'nyo' more melodious. I like It a lot for a girl. Weird but fresh and lively. I love nature-theme names! How is it there in Brazil?

I don't like anything about it, except the beautiful flower. It's a combination of sounds and syllables I find unattractive -'gn' in particular and for a nature name I find it both over-the-top and contrived sounding at the same time. It's also the name of a hideous paint colour...ubiquitous in rented flats!. So it wouldn't be my choice ;)
