[Opinions] Same Ranked Twins
I didn't know what to call this post so allow me to explain. What would you name twins (or a GB sibset) if their first names had to have the same rank in a country's yearly data?I find it really interesting to look at the data and see which ones hold the same rank. Are there any that make a good twinset, any that are too matchy or really don't fit together at all?Just pick a country and year and explore what you like! I'll post separately my example.English Au Pair in Massachusetts with https://www.aupairinamerica.com/https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/117870?sort=rank&pop=ew
Top ~ Alexei (b) and Juliet (g)
Bottom ~ Teddy (b) and Thayne (b)

Using the 2017 England & Wales list I'd go with one of these:11. William and Sophia
33. Benjamin and Eva
54. Rory and Eleanor
96. Finn and LylaFurther down the list I quite like Hayden and Georgie at 190.I notice at 274 there's Eden (boy) and Beau (girl) which I think would be confusing if they were twins.

England and Wales 2017:James & Alice (both #17) - a good style match, plus James is my twin brother's nameArthur & Florence (both #19) - another good style matchJoseph & Elsie (both #28) - not really a style match, but I love both names, and Joseph is my dad's nameReuben & Lucy (both #49) - not a perfect style match, but I think they work well together, and I just like both namesEzra & Iris (both #81) - I think they sound really good together, and both names rank among my favouritesUSA 2017:Oliver & Evelyn (both #9) - I think they work really well together, there's a fluidity to the sound and look of the namesSamuel & Grace (both #21) - I'm not usually a huge fan of Grace, but when I saw these two names ranked the same, I realised they would make a great twinsetJack & Eleanor (both #35) - work together style wise, although I'd shorten Eleanor to Nell, and I think Jack and Nell would be great!

I had a great-uncle who fought in the First World War (in the Royal Artillery, which left him deaf for the rest of his life - the Army didn't even give them lumps of cotton wool to shove in their ears!): he was John William, known as Jack, and his wife had Nellie as her one and only given name - actually, her mn was Sandford, but that was for family reasons.Sp, yeah, Jack and Nell - very nice!

Names I like from my country's (Czech) Top 100 of 2016#3 Adam and Anna (maybe too matchy for twins)
#18 Antonín and Marie, twis would be classy and traditional
#21 Michal and Aneta, love these but they're already a bit dated
#22 Kryštof and Amálie, old-fashioned names that made a comeback in recent years
#34 Jonáš and Alžběta (I'd be afraid Jonáš could become very popular in few years)
#65 Vilém and Magdalena, long-time favorites, but I wouldn't really use Magdalena as it already is my sister's name
#75 Vladimír and Šárka, not crazy about Šárka but it's pretty and if I could only use vladimír in a combo with Šárka, I would
#81 Theodor and Ellen, wish Ellen would be more popular in English-speaking countries. Here, it sounds very trendy, so does Theodor with an H

My ExampleEngland and Wales data [2017]I would happily name twins:Arthur and Florence (I think they fit together well, both ranked #19)
Elena "Lena" and Hudson (very different but I like them both, #135)
Jonah and Nina (I think they fit together well, #159)
Lois and Lyra (I don't think they're too matchy, maybe they have different vibes but I still think they work in a sibset together, #183)
Phoenix (b) and April (very different but I like them both, #219) I wouldn't use though I'd want to...
Elijah and Eliza (too matchy though I love both of these names! They ranked #41)I then explored the US data [2017]I would use:
Carter and Penelope "Nell" (very different but I like them both, #24)
August and Brooke (I think they have similar vibes, I'm not convinced though, #191)
Beckett and Juliet (different again but I like them both, #226)
Jonas and Raven (different vibes but I like them both, #446)Hope you had as much fun and found it as interesting as I did!
