[Opinions] Kylie, Kayla, or Kassidy? (m)
You have to give one of these names to your daughter. Which one do you choose, and why? Hmm. Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

Kylie. I like the sound and the meaning's interesting. I knew a Cassidy growing up and liked her but would feel weird giving a kid her name.I don't like Kayla.

Kayla! I love it.Kylie I know two Kylie's who aren't very nice.Kassidy is too close to my name Cassie. Plus I prefer it spelt with a C.

I would pick Kylie, assuming I get to pretend I don't have a niece named Kyla. I think it's got a brighter sound. Kayla always sounds a bit dumpy and dull to me i spite of the many I've known who are anything but. Kassidy is all boy to me, even though I don't know any men with the name.

Kayla? Kylie feels childish, and Kassidy just looks weird, as opposed to Cassidy.

I'd pick Kylie. I don't like it, but I don't think it's horrendous either. Kayla and Kassidy are two names I don't think I'd ever be able to swallow. Kylie has a somewhat cute sound, sorta along the lines of Callie.

Kylie is the best to me, and my niece is named Kyla. She goes by K.K. as a nickname because her mn also begins with K.

Kylie. I legitimately like it.

Kylie is very dated here in Australia. It's my name and I was one of 6 in my class in high school. It was very popular in the 60's and 70's. The youngest person I know named Kylie is 23yrs old now.
Kayla is boring. Very popular here about 10 yrs ago.
Kassidy is interesting but I prefer it spelt Cassidy.
I'm not a fan of K names. I come from a family of them and hate it.

Kylie,,,Kayla is boring. I would've chosen Kassidy if it was with a C.

I like the way Kylie sounds better than Kayla or Kassidy, but I may choose Kayla because at least Michaela is a real name and not associated with the Kardashians.

Ugh. Really?I'd have to go with Kylie. Because Kassidy is a surname, albeit a misspelled one, and I hate surnames on girls, and Kylie seems a little fresher and much more jaunty then Kayla.

Kyliealthough if Kassidy was spelled with a C, I'd like it. I do know a Kayla, nice young woman, but it seems such a "nothing" name.

Kylie. I love it and has for years.I much prefer Kassidy spelled as Cassidy, love the latter one of that spelling, and I don't care much for Kayla.

Kylie, but I'd much rather use Kailey..Kayla sounds harsh and ugly to me, and Kassidy sounds like a freak show when pronounced in Swedish. So, Kylie.

Hi !!!!I prefer Kylie but I would choose Kay not as NN but as full name.

Kylie m.I don't like any of these, but at least the choice is easier than the other one...Kylie is like a modern fem. form of Kyle, that makes it more substantial than Kayla to me, and I like the sound of it pretty well, even though it is a little too perky for my taste.
Kayla is one of the flimsiest of the AY trend names, and I think it already sounds like the name of a woman who loses all her friends because she keeps inviting them to "parties" where she tries to sell them some plastic merchandise and gets petulant when they don't show. Kassidy isn't a terrible sounding name, but it being a surname gives it way too much brass for my taste, and it seems embarrassing because of being spelled as if the namer was ignorant of surname Cassidy.btw Has anyone ever heard of a surname-named person marrying someone with the surname that is her (or his) first name, and deciding to go by both names? Like Taylor Taylor or something? I'm curious whether that ever happens.

Paige Davis from Trading Spaces married a guy with the last name Paige, so she became Paige Paige!

Well, not exactly. However, I remember about twenty years ago hearing a little filler piece on the radio about some woman up in Minnesota or someplace who was running for some office up there. Her name was Monica Monica. It was apparently her birth name and not a married name. I seem to recall her middle name was Monica too, but that's surely not true, could it be? I mean, it's a bit like Major Major Major.
And somebody told me once that the most common name in a particular city (DC, I think) phone book at one point was Bill Williams/William Williams/Willie Williams. And I once did know a Johnny Johnson.

I went to school with a Donald MacDonald.

This is no hardship. Kayla's my choice, and it's actually a name I wouldn't mind using.
Kylie is whiny and sounds like a sickly-sweet baby-talk nn for Kyle, a name I hate.
Kassidy/Cassidy just doesn't sound attractive.
