Well, I thought it was Fetus at first when quickly scrolling down the page so I can't say I recommend it.

I know a man who has this for a nickname, but his real name is Hagen.
It seems more nicknamey to me. I wouldn't use it as an actual given name. Too silly and kind of unattractive.

I don't know many names that are less attractive than Festus. I'm sure in the context of a story set in ancient Rome, I would be fine with it, but not as a name given to a child in this millennium.

It straight up gives me the willies.

Nms. I'd go for Hephaestus possible NN Fez, if I liked the sound.

Makes me think of “fetus”.

Hi !!!I much prefer Hephaestus which is an Ancient Greek god.Festus seems a plain short form.Festa is the Italian word (via Latin as Festus) for 'holiday celebration, party'. It is not a given name but it is better than Festus at least.

Misread as 'fetus'. No thank you.

It makes me think of the word "fester", which is not pleasant, so no.

this was discussed fairly recently ...And I'll repeat what I said then, which is that Festus is an ugly, ugly name and sounds like a really hideous disease.
