I loved Lydia back in the 1980s, long before it became popular. So there.
I don't like the Lidia spelling as much as Lydia, that's for sure. I also don't like the Silvia spelling as much as Sylvia, but I've noticed that Silvia is common among Hispanics. The Y just makes both names look prettier, IMO.
