Just found out that one of my many cousins has recently had a son and named him Douglas. I was quite surprised to find that it's in the British charts and slightly rising! WDYT?btw, his sister, who is around 4, also has an old-fashioned name: Heather.

Douglas is such a friendly, gentle name. I think I like it, especially with Heather.

It's a good name. I had a cousin named Douglas; first cousin, but he was my father's age, in fact, he was one of my high-school teachers. Our fathers were brothers, but at opposite ends of a large family.
His grandson is Douglas also. what that young man's relation to me is, I can in no way think!Heather is nice, also.

Heather and Douglas are a sibset which I’m surprised to find myself liking!I’m not so surprised to hear that Douglas is in the charts - in my year group at school, there are two boys called Douglas, although one moved here from Canada a few years ago. My little sister has a Douglas in her class too!
