Thanks to the post down below I have been reminded how much I love the name.Are Melanie and Miriam too matchy?

They both start with M, but that's about it. They are completely different to me, style wise, and I'd be very surprised to hear of sisters names Miriam and Melanie.

They are very different. I very much suspect we will end up using Eleanor if we have another girl. We both like it.

LOL. I realized I probably worded that badly, but I ended up having to run some errands before I could edit. No, I'm not pregnant. We are thinking of trying, but I want to be absolutely sure I'm ready for another child first!

Eleanor to me is a modern classic: I see a classy trench coat over a pant or skirt suit / jacket dress - with billowing sets of curls rolling about or near her shoulders: the visage does not quickly fade from business fashion.

No, I think they'd be nice in a sibset...though in a scenario where there were 4+ siblings and all the names started with M, that'd be too matchy for me.
