Irene (ee-RE-ne) - It was common in the generation of my parents. I would not use it, because it has an outdated sound for me.
Chiara - quite trendy.
Carmen - I do not like it.
Maria - okay.
Claudia (KLOW-dya) - I know a lot of Claudias in my age. Because of that it is a bit boring.
Anna - I love it.
Laura (LOW-ra) - too trendy.
Zoe (DZO-e) - I like it. Also the meaning is very beautiful.
Pina - odd.
Virginia - I like the sound, but the meaning is maybe bothering.
Cleopatra - too frilly.
Soraya - I really like it.
Rosa - cute.
Paola - nice.
Margherita - I like its sound, but all I can think of is pizza Margherita.
Silvia - was common in the generation of my parents.
Carla - I really like it. I also like Carlo.
Francesca - nice.
Monica - okay. Was also common in the generation of my parents and sounds a bit old-fashioned today.

Irene (ee-RE-ne) - pretty but I prefer the English pronunciation.
Chiara - meh, it sounds off to me possibly because of so many similar names.
Carmen - not my style. Is it true that they are remaking Carmen Sandiego?
Maria - Beautiful and classic
Claudia (KLOW-dya) - This pronunciation seems really clunky to me, but Claudia is a bit of a clunker in general. It is cute in an awkward sort of way.
Anna - lovely
Laura (LOW-ra) - okay
Zoe (DZO-e) - Where did the "d" come from? Zoe is cute in a childish sort of way.
Pina -"If you like Pina Coladas, and getting caught in the rain ...."
Virginia - beautiful and with cute nicknames like Ginia and Ginny.
Cleopatra - a nice cat name
Soraya - okay
Rosa - Forms of Rose seem very popular on this site. It is pretty but not something I would use.
Paola - I'm not particularly fond of Paula.
Margherita - This is a common drink in the USA, so it would be a bit like name your child Wine, Beer, Brandy, or Whisky.
Silvia - Okay, I prefer Silva.
Carla - okay
Francesca - Elegant, strong, and distinguished
Monica - dated
