I like Tomer, and it fits well with Talya in my opinion.

I feel like I should like it, but I'm unpleasantly reminded of tumor and Gomer.

Stylewise, it fits with Talya.

Are you converting? These are very Hebrew names.

I dislike Tomer. It's also very matchy with Tayla.

I am not. My partner is an atheist Jew and we decided on Hebrew names.

I get the same with Miriam, and my nephew gets the same with Isaac. ( in his case it's because of his surname as well.)

I thought I remembered her talking about converting, guess I was wrong.

Well, if your partner is Jewish and you've talked about having kids, I can see how considering their background when it comes to names is a natural thing. I don't think conversion is needed.

Believe me, I understand. I married into a Catholic family. I chose to convert, though.

Again, though, I thought she once mentioned considering it. I admit I was wrong.

I have considered it but decided not to. My partner is a Jew but an atheist. We live in a very Jewish area. Being a Jew would make our children Jewish so those were my reasons.

I don't think it's paticularly superb and my response would be an immediate no since I'm not a fan of alliteration sets. However, I think it's still okay. I mean, I'd pick Tomer over 'Homer' any day, alliteration involved or not.

Ugh...reminds me of "tumor". Oh, and it's also too close to the Spanish verb tomar "to take".
