I've always loved Gertrude, but considered it unusable since I hate all the nicknames Gert, Gertie, Tru, Trudy, Rudy, Rue, and Gigi.
Geertruida gives the nicknames Gea and Ida, both of which I like.
For that reason alone, I like Geertruida better.
