[Opinions] Wanda (VAN-da)
This particular name entered the current top 100 in Poland in 2018 at 84th place (282 girls), up from 110th place (162) in 2017.
What do you think of this name, pronounced as it is in Polish? My PNL: http://www.behindthename.com/pnl/149249

Reminds me of the Magic School Bus, somehow, not sure why except I remember there being a character named Wanda. Probably one of the children, and it was pronounced Wanda, not Van-da. I think it is a okay name, but I have never heard it ever used.

I have a soft spot for Wanda; it sounds sassy and magical to me. But where I live, it's dated, and sadly, not in a hip, retro way...yet, at least. If I were pronouncing it with a V sound, as an American, I would spell it Vanda or Vonda, pronounced. I think that might come across more positively to people; it reminds me of Vaughn / Vanna / Yvonne more than Wanda.

Hi !!!I've always pronounced Wanda as it is in Polish because it is, along with the German one, the most easy way for me and also the closest to Vanda (Italian form).I like Wanda / Vanda. This name reminds me of those beautiful purple flowers.. Lavanda (Lavender)
