A long time ago, I read that Rita Dove named her daughter Aviva. That was the first time I saw the name, and I thought something like 'cool, how vivacious and original'.
Then Ava got super popular. And now it seems try-hard. And probably more connected with Israel than I am comfortable with. But it's still vivacious.
It also reminds me of Aziza, which is the name of someone I met in college and didn't like much. Aziza is cool name, though, objectively.
I'd prefer Geneva.
