[Opinions] Tory and Violet
What do you think of Tory and Violet for a boy-girl sibset? I can't get these names out of my head. Any MN suggestions?

I like Violet, it's quite simple and sweet and I don't think anyone's opposed to it. I don't know what sorts of names you like so I'm not sure what to suggest for middle names but off the top of my head:
Violet Amaryllis
Violet Adeline
Violet Opal
Violet May
Violet Cecily
Violet Celia
Violet Cleo
Violet Persephone
Violet Amy
Tory is way too feminine for a boy IMO. Also, the Conservative party, lol. I'm not sure what a good middle name would be, it would depend on whether Tory was the full name or whether it was a nickname. (Victor?)

I go by Tory sometimes (all the time when I was a kid); I'm not British, but I don't like that it coincides with a conservative political party.
The only male Tory I've met was named Salvatore. I'd prefer Dorian / Isidore "Dory" or Salvatore "Tory" or Torin, Troy - maybe even Story or Toreador - over just Tory.
I like Violet and think most names sound fine with it.

Tory is a political position over here, so I can't imagine it as a name. Even if I could, I would expect it on an Italian guy or a cheerleader girl.
Violet is OK, it's vaguely pretty. It's common so I wouldn't expect the name Tory for a brother, I'd expect a brother to be Max or Leo, something common too.
