[Opinions] Sabrina

Sabrina is one of my longest-standing very favorite names, even from when I was a kid. It always seemed magical to me - though little of that influence was "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" (which was on when I was a kid). No, what really fostered my love of this name was the movie Sabrina, specifically the 90s adaptation starring Harrison Ford and Julia Ormond. (I know the Audrey Hepburn version is the classic, but I'm more familiar with Sydney Pollack's adaptation.) I loved the idea of the poem she was named after, "Sabrina Fair" (she was Sabrina Fairchild). I loved her character. It's a dry movie for most kids, but what can I say, I was a weird kid.
How weird? I also loved (still do) the name Ursula, because I heard it in The Little Mermaid. I liked the villain's name better than that of the mermaid princess, and used to think about having little girls named Sabrina & Ursula...

I think it's pretty, in theory, but IRL, I don't have a great impression of the person I've met named it. And the Bree sound makes it seem a bit dated to me.
I like Edwina, but I've never met anyone named it. Sabrina Edwina is a comical combo, considering it rhymes (or if not, the possibility exists).

I wouldn't use it, but I like it. Feels timeless without being boring/overused. Edwina is a guilty pleasure of mine.
I've always really liked the name Sabrina. It has a good sound and is more substantial than the similar Serena. Unsurprisingly, it makes me think of the Audrey Hepburn movie and the teenage witch. The only drawback is that it contains the "bree" sound that I've grown very tired of hearing. I've heard "Sabrie" used as a nickname, which really emphasizes that sound.
A teenage witch and Audrey Hepburn. I like it.
Hi !!!
Sabrina is my mother's name but she was given it because of the famous movie.
I like the name but it is quite unusable (my family don't honour close relatives).
Anyway the link with Sabrina Spellman is good even if I was sad seeing this new series: I dislike all the plot and the way it went. But the actress is gorgeous.
