[Opinions] Celeb BA
Today co-anchor, Hoda Kotb, recently announced that she adopted another dd, Hope Catherine. Hope has an older sister, Haley Joy.In case you're wondering, Hope's surname will be Kotb. Hope Kotb. I have trouble pronouncing that! Anyway, I think Hope Catherine is rather sweet. WDYT?Your words reveal who you think you are, but your actions prove who you really are.

I actually like Hope as a name, though I don't think it goes well with the surname at all. Aside from the surname, I do think Hope Catherine is a very nice name.

I really like Hope, more than a lot of virtue names, and Hope Catherine is pretty. I think Catherine Hope does flow better but overall I prefer to see Hope Catherine because one-syllable virtue names deserve to get out of the MN spot every once in a while! It's a lovely combo.

Can't help preferring the flow of Catherine Hope. Unless they've got an H theme going?

It’s not hard to pronounce at all, it sounds pretty much how it looks. Cot-B. Hope Cot-B.

I like:
-It's not an "out-there" celebrity baby name like we see a lot these days
-The combo flows well (excluding the last name anyway)
-Hope pairs well with Joy but it doesn't seem matchy since one's a fn and one's a mnI dislike:
-Hoda, Haley, and Hope... so many H names
-I'd prefer Catherine Hope

I have trouble with Hope Kotb too. And I also think Hope and Hoda are too close.

Hi !!!Congrats to this family!!In my opinion Kotb is not so hard to pronounce. Hope Kotb is nice!
Infact Kotb reminds be 'kutub' (books) in Arabic so seeing Hope before this kind of surname is great. Obviously Hope pairs with Joy but without being too matchy as the FN of Joy is Haley.I prefer Huda to Hoda though.

It's a very nice name, and so is Haley.
However, Kotb is a hard name to pair up, and Hope Kotb sounds really awkward, almost to the point of ridiculous.

I really dislike Hope and hate how it sounds with Kotb. This reminds me of someone I know named Hope Boy~d (tilde added to reduce searchability). What's up with people pairing Hope with inharmonious surnames???
