[Opinions] Latin club names from diverse high school
I helped out at the high school Latin convention this past weekend, and my alma mater always has shirts with all the students' names on them, so of course I had to write them down. Girls:

Xiangan Sibling sets that I happen to know
Alex and Ashley
Carina and Owen; they also have another brother named Jonahand people whose siblings aren't in the club;
Clair and Cynthia
Kenny, Elisabeth (nn Elsa), and Parthenia (nn Nena)
Ruth and Mahlet
Luc and Jean (f)
Jinwoo and Jisoo
Masha and Michael (nn Misha)I also met an Atticus that was about 14, which I was kind of surprised about--thought that Atticuses would be a lot younger. And surprised that Aiden (also about 14) was Asian, because when I was born it was still mostly an Irish-American-only name.

I like:
Alice
Ashley (on a boy)
Grace
Irene
Jane
Jenny
Joanna
Lily
Louisa
Mary (though I'm not fond of the nickname Masha)
Mirabelle
Natalie
Vivian (I like it both on boys and girls)Alex
Amir
Charles
Dante
Jack
John
Jonah
SamuelThe fourth sibling set is very interesting, since the names don't "fit" together at all imo - Kenny, a youthful, modern sounding name which I dislike, Elisabeth, a lovely, evergreen classic, and Parthenia, a rather obscure Greek name.Special mentions go to Ulysses and Atticus - they're both wonderful names, especially so in a Latin convention.

Hi !!!!Let's see!GIRLS:
*Aleska: I prefer Alaska.
Alice I like it a lot
*Ashley I currently prefer it on a boy.
Carina beautiful, although in Italy is too strange and cutesy ti use.
Cindy I love it as full name!
*Clair this is masculine.
Grace became boring
Irene I love its meaning but I personally know too many people to consider using it.
Jane great, strong, evergreen.
Joanna became boring
Jolie too related with Angelina. It has a celebrity-trendish vibe.
Lily one of my favourite English names.
Mira simple and full of meanings! I love it.
Mirabelle beautiful and enchanting.
Natalie elegant and refined.
*Rama on a boy
*Vivian on a boy (same style of Dorian, Florian ...)BOYS:
Amir an Arabic evergreen
Charles not so bad, better than Charlie.
Dante quite too much (especially if you are Italian) but so evocative and tryumphant!
David evergreen
Diego pretty
Jack on of my favourite English names.
Kenneth Great sound, look and meaning.
Luc best form of the name in my opinion.
Manuel nice!
Remy I like it a lot!
Trent alright

Vincent (but not Vinny)
XianganElisabeth (nn Elsa) and Parthenia (nn Nina) = Awesome sister names!! Why is their brother called Kenny of all things? sigh.
Ruth and Mahlet
Masha and Michael (nn Misha) - sort of. Masha & Misha sound more like names for twin puppies or kittens.I know some teenage Atticuses but I always expected them to be older!

Someone on another forum I also posted this to didn't like Kenny either. I don't have a good explanation for this...he's listed as just Kenny somewhere else, so I assumed it wasn't short for Kenneth. Masha and Misha are Russian and my understanding is that they have a significantly smaller pool of widely used names and having similar nicknames is really common. Masha talks about her friends who are also named Masha, and then there's Dasha, Yasha, and Sasha.

I thought Ulysses and Augustine were pretty cool names for kids in a Latin club to have.I really like Joanna too, and it seems to be getting a little more popular, which is nice.
