It sounds like a weird name to me, for several reasons.1) It's a rather patronizing word to use, for a grown woman especially. It's not just that the origins of the word mean darling. It's a common French word. So therefore, not that different from naming someone Darling in English.2) It is hard to pronouce, one of those very french sounds that you practically swallow. It's more like min-yon, kind of.3) And then there's filet mignon...

agreeExcept (not knowing French myself), it seems more to me like naming someone "Cutie-Pie" or perhaps "Tiny" in English. Kind of a strong reference to small physical size... too precious for my taste, at any rate.meen-YOH(n) .. it's not a difficult one for me, only because of the familiarity of "filet mignon."- chazda
