[Opinions] Re: Claire, Clare, Clair and Sinclair

Claire — French, English, American, generally more academically educated / minded parents
Clare — possibly Catholic, possibly of Irish descent and proud of that
Clair — light! So beautiful, refreshing & strong on a man
Sinclair — I’ve always loved the sound of Sinclair. I’ve had it on lists for that reason, but I would not use a surname unless it had a personal meaning for me. I generally find it more pleasing when others do the same (only use surnames if there’s a personal meaning beyond liking the sound or feeling). To me it’s a strong, heady, intellectual & kind of posh name. I do get that that perception would be laughable to some people.
