[Opinions] Harold
I'm thinking about Harold again (why yes, I just rewatched my favourite movie alone in the dark--why do you ask? ;), and I've realized that I've never come up with any suitable combinations for it. So I have four questions for you all tonight:1. How do you feel about the name Harold?2. What do you think of these combos?
Harold Ignatius
Harold Christian
Harold Lemuel
Harold Ray
Harold Cornelius
Harold Francis
Harold Joachim3. What are some nice Harold combos you can think of?4. Lyle, Gilda Rae, Harold, Juniper "Joon," and Zelda as a sibset. Discuss, please. :)Thanks!Array

Lyle is a lovely name, although I prefer Kyle, this one sounds better with your other names.
Gilda Rae is a nice name, I don't like Gilda very much, but Gilda Rae sounds good.
Harold, I've already said
Juniper is not my style and I don't like it, Sorry!
Zelda, to me, sounds a bit 'exotic' to be with these names but it's OK.

Sorry, I can't picture any child named Harold that doesn't resemble Nelson from the Simpsons. The name just sounds like Harry and Old put together.

They all have a great masculine elegance about them, and Harold Ray is my grandpa's actual fn & mn combo! Personally, my fave of your combos is Harold Cornelius, but that's just b/c Cornelius is one of my fave boys names. ;o) Harold Ignatius and Harold Lemuel are very intriguing as well!

1. I liked Harold, though Howard is my middle-aged-man-name-that-starts-with-an-H of choice2) Harold Lemuel is awesome. Harold Ignatius is nice, too. I don't care much for the others.3) They sound like they could be in a Noir movie together, which is pretty awesome.Image hosting by Photobucket

I love the name Harold and want tp use it as a mn for a future child. First of all I think of this one scene on the Bayeux Tapestry, with the caption "Here sits Harold, King of the English." To me, it's a powerful statement of British patriotism and peoplehood even in the face of the recent Norman conquest that had put a foreign king on their throne. There's also the legendary comedian Harold Lloyd, who made movies from the Teens until the Forties. His screen character's looks were the basis for the physical appearance of Clark Kent.Of your combos, I like:
Harold Lemuel
Harold Cornelius
Harold IgnatiusOther combos:
Harold James
Harold Winston
Harold Jack
Harold Bruce
Harold George
Harold Quincy
