I would keep Morgan for males only.

Not really dated even if it was more popular in the nineties. Its style is very current, it just got popular a bit sooner than Peyton and Addison.
I don't like it at all though. Morgue and organ.
Morgane sounds like a medicine, like Rogaine, or something for migraines.

I've always looked at Morgan as a masculine name, and Morgana as feminine. Not big on Morgane.

However, I still consider Morgan as one of the few truly unisex names out there, in that if I saw the name "Morgan Smith" without a middle name or prefix, I would have no idea whether the bearer was a woman or man.

I knew a pretty terrible male Morgan once, but I'm trying not to let it ruin the name. I like Morgan for a boy if I strip away the associations. I don't really like any Morgan names for a girl, but if it's going to be one, Morgane is best. It doesn't feel dated to me.

I really like Morgan. It has history and a mythical flair, but it also seems sporty and fun. Although Morgan can be used for guys, it is far more commonly used for girls in the USA (with the exception of the great Morgan Freeman).

I like Morgan but only for a boy. Morgane is very elegant and beautiful for a girl. I don't find them dated, because neither one was ever terribly popular.
