Morgane is ok for a girl, but Morgan is too masculine. Morgana is the best form for a girl, and Morgen is ok.

Hi Perrine !!!My favourite form of the name is Morgana. I think that Morgana / Morgane are enough for the feminine gender. I would keep Morgan for males only.

Maud sounds like a horse name to me, but I don't see a connection between horses and Morgan.

Thank you, I suspect that most people would not associate it with the horse breed. I looked it up, and it appears that the horse breed was named for Justin Morgan, who was a US horse breeder, farmer, composer, and music teacher in the 1700s.

This was in relation to my Morgana opinion here:https://www.behindthename.com/bb/baby/5023162

Not really dated even if it was more popular in the nineties. Its style is very current, it just got popular a bit sooner than Peyton and Addison.
I don't like it at all though. Morgue and organ.
Morgane sounds like a medicine, like Rogaine, or something for migraines.

I've always looked at Morgan as a masculine name, and Morgana as feminine. Not big on Morgane. However, I still consider Morgan as one of the few truly unisex names out there, in that if I saw the name "Morgan Smith" without a middle name or prefix, I would have no idea whether the bearer was a woman or man.

I knew a pretty terrible male Morgan once, but I'm trying not to let it ruin the name. I like Morgan for a boy if I strip away the associations. I don't really like any Morgan names for a girl, but if it's going to be one, Morgane is best. It doesn't feel dated to me.

I really dislike Morgan and all the other forms. No, it's not dated.

I really like Morgan. It has history and a mythical flair, but it also seems sporty and fun. Although Morgan can be used for guys, it is far more commonly used for girls in the USA (with the exception of the great Morgan Freeman). Morgane is nice, but I have a slight emo-goth association with it.

and Morgan Wallen and Morgan Evans, both male country singers. :) Of course neither are as popular as Freeman, so...

I love Morgan and Morgana! Not Morgane, though; it just looks like a misspelling, even though I know it's really not.

I like Morgan but only for a boy. Morgane is very elegant and beautiful for a girl. I don't find them dated, because neither one was ever terribly popular.
