Do you pronounce the final -DEEN or -DIEN?
I think this name is a hidden gem. It seems very English despite being Greek in its origin.

Oh, I adore Celandine! Definitely a hidden gem. I pronounce the final syllable "deen" and dislike "dine."

I agree, definitely a hidden gem. I prefer the ending -DIE-n, but DEE-n works well, too.

Automatically DEEN but DIEN works too. I like it quite a bit. I also like Columbine, wish it was usable.

I've always said "SELL-an-deen", and I think it's lovely.
