[Opinions] Elisabet
Not trying to copy off the 'Elizabeth' post below, but as you may know, I've been on a Spanish names kick lately (thanks to new friends I've made at work who are of Mexican and Colombian heritage. :) I should add that they have great names, too!). One of the names I've been favouring lately is Elisabet. There's something appealing about it that I can't quite put my finger on. Anyway, I'm trying to find nicknames for it that are used in the Spanish-speaking countries. Does any know any of these nicknames? Out of the blue today I came up with Lisi (lee-see), but I think I might've just made that up, lol. Sounded good anyway. Can anyone help me out? Also, what do you think of the combos:Elisabet Sofía
Elisabet Rosa
Elisabet Federica
Elisabet Amalia
Elisabet Marta
Elisabet Luisa
Elisabet Pilar
Elisabet MercedesThanks. :)

Wow I never knew Elisabet was an actual name! My little sister Abby always tells me and my mom to call her Elisabet. It's kinda funny. I never imagined that she was actually telling us a real name.Anyway's I like it, I like Elisabet Sofía out of your combo's.

Elisabet is beautiful! I especially love it after the sculptor Elisabet Ney. Her full name was Franzisca Bernadina Wilhelmina Elisabeth Ney.
Of your combos I love Elisabet Sofia & Elisabet Amalia! : )

I'm going to have to look the sculptor up as I've never heard of her. *blush* I like her full name. It has inspired me to think about Elisabet Francesca, which is sounding fabulous to me right now! :)

Elisabet Sofía seems to be the preferable combo so far. :) I've become very partial to it myself.

I like Elisabet a lot, actually. It's really pretty and a nice twist on Elisabeth, which is wonderful but sort of unoriginal.Just a side note, Elisa is the Spanish form of Elizabeth. Elisabet is the Scandinavian form.I LOVE Elisabet Sofia...put Sofia with anything and I'll adore it. ;)Elisabet Amalia is also gorgeous. Elisabet Rosa is lovely too, but I don't really like Rosa.

I was told by Lumia on the Name Facts board that Elisabet was indeed the Spanish form of Elisabeth. According to the research that I've done, this seems to be a fact. Plus, my new friends (of which I spoke in the original post) confirm this as well. I'm really liking Elisabet Sofía, too. I think I can safely say that it is my favourite (at the moment, anyway). :)
