For some reason, it sounds very malicious to me, like a villain's name. I prefer Lorcan.

I really like Lachlan. It sounds sophisticated without being common or overdone. I think it ages well too.

I've only ever met nice Lachlans and they almost always go by Lachie. It's a nice name and not as overused as Tom or Oliver but still there'll be one in almost every grade. Very mediocre

I like it a lot. Not sure if I’d use it. It’s a gorgeous name though.
