Alaina and Asher have been married 27 years now! They have been faithful companions and this continues as Alaina visits Asher every day in his nursing home. Her children were grown by the time they married but her grandchildren call him "Poppy".

Sasha and Miles have lived a happy, quiet, contented life together. Because they found each other later in life and became parents late, they have truly appreciated their little family. They love Jessie very much. She grew up maybe a little spoiled but has become a sensible teenager who hasn't given them any trouble - yet!

August was shocked one day 10 years ago when he came home to find Anna and the 4 kids gone. He had to battle for custody and even then didn't see his older children as much as he would have liked. He wasn't a man who could cope well on his own and he soon found Hazel. She desperately wanted children and they welcomed Lawson who was to be their only child. When they were around 15, Marshall and Lincoln both moved in with August and his small family. Finally, August got to have a relationship with his sons. And Lawson adores his big brothers! Hazel was soon surprised to find that she was expecting a child at 43. They now have a 2-year-old daughter to keep them on their toes. Lawson is getting to like her as he can now teach her things as his brothers teach him. Marshall is still living with them but Lincoln has recently married his childhood sweetheart, Lilia.

It was difficult for Riley and the kids when Jade suddenly passed away. It was even harder for the children, aged 10, 7 and 4, when Riley remarried someone only 13 years older than Arielle. Then came the younger children. Arielle always struggled to see Sarah in a mother-daughter way and was engaged young. She and Jonas have both moved out and Arielle will soon be married to Jensen after a 5-year wait when he returns to the country after some time abroad. Elijah was so young when his dad remarried that he has never felt the same as the older two and is actually quite comfortable in the family. Sarah has had a difficult time of it, if truth be told. She fell in love with someone so much older than herself who was looking for a mother for his 3 children. She did her best to raise Riley's children but soon found herself so busy with her own. Riley is often either at work or preoccupied so Sarah does her best to raise their children with the help of Elijah, who is now 17. Leo, Ana and Zeke adore Elijah. Whereas Cate and Lizzie love when their big sister, Arielle, comes to visit. Now that all of the children are in school, Sarah finally feels like she can get her life and theirs organised.
