Do you think Beverly could make a comeback? I kind of like it. Also it's very close to the trendy Everly.

I think it could make a comeback if there were a young Beverly in a popular show or movie, or maybe if a celebrity named their child Beverly.
I like it way better than Everly, which is definitely in the "trendy nonsense" category in my book, but I don't really care for Beverly, either. It's just not a pretty sound to me, especially "Bev." I like other popular names from Beverly's era, though -- it peaked at #14 for American girls in 1937. Here is the top 20 that year; I've starred the ones I'd be happy to see on a baby born in 2019.

I could have sworn someone in my due date group was talking about naming her daughter Beverly, but she never posted a BA.
I do think it could come back, especially considering its similarity to Everly. It hit its lowest point in 2010 and has been rising since, though very slowly. I think it could rocket right up if a celebrity used it.
I do like it, but honestly slightly prefer Everly, but I think that's mainly because I don't love any B names.

I dislike Everly. Apart from the singing brothers, it seems to hover on the edge of meaning but never quite achieves it.
Where I live, Beverley is the only spelling I've ever seen in use. Likewise Kimberley. I'd never use either of them, not because of being dated but just because they don't appeal to me, but I do prefer the -ey versions.
I've got sound personal reasons for avoiding Beverley like the plague, but I don't think I ever liked it before those reasons kicked in.

I sincerly hope not. Beverly is just one of those names that comes across as being dated and very much unnatractive in my opinion. It brings to mind an vain older woman who's self-centured and has a great sum of money. Either she was born into wealth or married for it.
I definitely prefer Everly. Sure, it may be modern and may even be too cutesy for some but I think it sound alot more pleasant and doesn't make me think of nasty old women or someone unpleasant in general. Everly sounds more warm and inviting.

Between Beverly and Everly I choose Beverly for sure!
Everly has no meaning in my opinion. It seems a word but actually isn't. It seems a cheesy form of ever. Too surnamey. Too modern. No famous bearers in my mind.
Beverly is a place name. It immediately makes me think of California, sun, luxury, people who can do whatever they want, parties, movies, wonderful houses, clothes, cars and objects.
Despite those are not my favourite kind of associations and meanings they are clear and lavish.
I would not use Beverly in real life anyway but.. for a character or a pet? Of course!
PS I loved the characters of Beverly Penn (played by Jessica Brown Findlay in 'Winter's Tale) and Beverly Marsh (played by Sophia Lillis in 'It').
