Help[Games] Realistic (hopefully) Year Game
This is a repost from a few months ago, but I did a little bit of tweaking to it. Enjoy!
Welcome to my Year/Life Game with a (hopefully) realistic twist! You'll need the 12-sided dice from this handy little fella: http://www.brockjones.com/dieroller/dice.htm
Firstly, generate 12 countries [https://www.randomlists.com/random-country?qty=12&dup=true]
Now pick 3. Two for your original couples' countries of birth and a third for their current location. You may pick the same country for both parents.
Next, generate your starting couples' names using criteria based on their country of birth. [https://www.behindthename.com/random/]
Lastly, decide on their looks. You may choose these using the criteria below as guidance to fit in with their country of birth, or - if their native country is quite diverse - you may roll for pot-luck looks!

Libertad and Jeppe are very different... Libertad is seven years younger, Venezuelan and currently a popular model. She is more extroverted and has a lot of friends. It is literally impossible not to love Libertad when you meet her, and Jeppe is more reserved and quiet and prefers reading and his job. Still, they manage to fall in love and recently got married in Rome, where they are going to live for a while for her modeling career and his job as a lawyer. Neither one is having trouble with finances though they know they are going to need to be careful. They recently welcomed twins (boys) and she modeled throughout her pregnancy. Rasmus and Adán are lovely babies and they make their parents happy every day. Sadly, Jeppes father dies without getting to meet Adán and Rasmus.

25 Years with the Mustonen & Beck Families! -FINISHED
Note: After 10 years, I decided to roll for every 3 years instead of a single year to age things up a bit quicker. It turned out that after 10 years one part of the family had quite a number of kids already – with a few under age 4 - so I thought it would be realistic (the name of the game!) for them to put the brakes on the babies for a bit. ;)
Year 0
Location: Hong Kong
DH [24]: Taneli Sisu Mustonen (Finnish, with straight blonde hair and blue eyes – Nordic folk rock band singer)
DW [24]: Ingrid Lucia Beck (Norwegian, with curly red hair and grey eyes – Nordic folk rock band fiddler/vocalist)
Taneli and Ingrid met at university in Oslo, Norway where they they discovered they both had musical aspirations and wanted to work in the performing arts. Thus, they formed a Nordic folk rock band, dated, and got married. Taneli is the lead singer and Ingrid plays the hardingfele, a Norwegian fiddle, and does backup vocals. They are now traveling with their band in Hong Kong and like it a lot (and have a surprisingly good audience there), so they have decided to stay a while.

Birth event: Taneli and Ingrid have started trying for a baby, but nothing has happened yet.
Other event: Family - Taneli had a minor scrape with the law, however, when he had a little too much to drink and stumbled into someone causing a brief altercation which got both men brought to jail. Ingrid, none too pleased, came to pick him up and they paid the fee he incurred.

Year 1: Marco and Sasha met in New Zealand while they were both on vacation there. They quickly fell in love and decided to marry and start their lives together in New Zealand, and thus leaving Portugal and Russia behind, for now. They're trying to start a family, but no luck as of yet. They did recently had something to celebrate though when Sasha won an award for the best local teacher!
Year 2: It's been a rough year for the Melo's since they still haven't managed to get pregnant. They're currently thinking about getting some fertility treatment as they're eager to bring children into their family. Marco decided to leave his job as a politician when he was offered the job of his dreams: Automation & Robotics Engineer
Year 3: Just before they were about to see a fertility specialist, Sasha got pregnant. She had a smooth pregnancy and delivered a healthy and perfect baby boy. They decided to name him Lucas, a Portuguese name that works well in New Zealand and close to the Russian Luka. For his middle name they went with Xavier, one of Marco's long time favorites.
