[Opinions] most mature sounding nickname for Kaitlin?
Katie, Kate, Kat, or should I go by Kaitlin? I've always gone by Katie, but I think it sounds a little childish.

I don't think Katie sounds childish. My daughter-in-law, Katy, is pushing 50. The children's pastor at our church, Katy, is about 40.

Kaitlin is the spelling for my name, too :)I've almost always gone by my full name though I have been called Kay as well. You could try Kit or Kitty if you aren't feeling Katie.

How about Kay?I’ve always thought it has a subtle elegance to it. :)

Eh, I think there are enough Katies (there are a lot of Katies) that people are pretty used to it in any age category.

Kate and Kaitlin both sound like an adult. Katie is a friendly option. I've known some professional women who go by Katie, and their careers seem to be going just fine.

I think Lin would be the most "adulty", then Kate or Kat, then Kait, and Katie or Kaity sounds youngest.
I don't think Katie sounds childish (it fits kids, teens, young adults, and youngish adults-- like under 40), but it does sound younger than the others.

Just Kaitlin is much more grown-up than Katie. Kate is also more grown-up but I don't like it as much.
Kat is a bit YA fantasy novel to me, and anyway, since Kat and Kaitlin don't have the same a sound, it doesn't seem as logical to me.
