Maggie is honestly one of the main reasons I dislike the name Margaret. I feel like it's the go-to nickname, and the sound just... doesn't appeal. At all. It doesn't matter that I've met some genuinely good people called Maggie, I just really don't like the "aaagggg" sound. Or the "gee," with the hard G.

I think it's drab and frumpy, like a maid. She'd have a sister named Nora, probably. And it also sounds like it would be a very popular name for pets.
I guess Magnolia? Or Marguerite/Margarita? Though if I used Marguerite or Margarita, I'd want to call by the full name.

I don't like it much, it sounds to childish. Meg or Peggy are nicer. Maggie could be short for Megara or Magnolia.

I like it! It’s sweet but there’s more to it too. I’d probably use Maggie as a nickname for Marigold, Margaux/Margot, or maybe Morgana.

Maybe Omega? Sort of a stretch though.
