[Facts] Cayke?
Is Cayke a name in some culture that is not pronounced like Cake? Or did a person at my school's mom literally name her kid Cake. Also, 100% sure this isn't a surname. And it's not a nickname, because it was on the official list.

If it isn't pronounced like "cake," it will be pronounced like "kike" (which is a racial/ethnic slur).

Masculine or feminine?

Feminine, and she pronounces it like the word cake, too.

There's a female character of that name in the Wizard of Us: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Oz_characters_(created_by_Baum)#Cayke. Alternatively, it could be a variation of the male Brazilian name Caíque — pronounced [kah-ee-kee] in Brazilian Portuguese —, which is of indigenous origin that has many creative spellings (Kayky, Kaique, Kaike, Kaic, Kaick, Caique, Kayque...). "Cayke" would be pronounced exactly the same in Brazilian Portuguese. A brief search on Facebook shows several Brazilian men with this name in this particular spelling.Considering this is a girl, I imagine the first option is more likely.
