While I definitely could see it as a goth name, I don't think it necessarily has to be. It feels more fairy tale or maybe nature-y to me (probably because of the outer space connections)
I like it. I think it's different while still being familiar to the ear. It's intellectual without being pretentious. It's easy to spell. It's not perfectly my style (I tend to like classic names), but if I met a little Andromeda, I would think her name was cool and that her parents had good, fun, and interesting taste. I have absolutely no negative feelings about this name.
