It's not too much, not even as a first name. It has a strong subculture vibe, though. Not necessarily goth. I can see any modern-age hipster or sci-fi geek using it. While unusual, it it still follows some trends in modern naming (myth / fantasy / ancient cultures theme) So I would not be surprised to meet a little Andromeda.
