I met my first Xanthe, in her 20s. I'm only familiar with the name due to Aussies posting it. Was neat to meet one.

I think I know 4 or 5? Theres 2 at Ts school, one my age and I think i've taught two.

I think there was a series of books called Xanthe. I never read any but my brother was a big fan.

The sound at the beginning reminds me of Xanax and sounds so harsh that the end sound can't make up for how harsh it sounds. I don't think I like it.

I like it! I don't normally like short names, but this one redeems itself with the long E sound on the end. It makes it sounds longer than it actually is.

I've only come across one in real life in a similar age range too. I would love to see it used more often. I love it. I prefer Xanthia slightly more, with Xanthe as a diminutive.

Xanthe is cool. There really aren't enough X names, it's an underused letter.

I like it. This is the type of name I think people are actually aspiring to when they say they want something unique, but they end up naming their kid Emmersyn or Gracelyn because they don’t know enough about names.

I have always hated this name. I don't like Xanthippe, either. I just don't like that xanth- sound, at all. It tries too hard.

I was actually thinking about Xanthippe.

It is a bit much, like Cressida, Calliope, Cassiopeia. It belongs in fantasy literature or a romance novel.

But it waa still neat to meet one, just as it was neat to mean an Issachar. Which is definitely too much!

I know a couple of Brits with the name. It's OK, although slightly medicinal. I think with the popularity of Zara and Zoe it feels more mainstream than it is.
