[Opinions] WDYTO Starr
I don’t know why but Starr came to my mind. It makes me think of a bright scarlet red. Is Star better or worse?

Star is one of my nicknames. I wouldn't deliberately give it as a full name, or plan to use it for a nn. It seems tacky and generically so. Starr actually seems worse.

Star as a nickname is cute. It's a great way to use the name but still have a more sophisticated sounding name to fall back on

I don't think of it as an alternate spelling of Star but rather as a surname-based FN (which reflects the older form of the word). Nice way of honoring someone named Starr for either gender. I prefer Starr to Star because it's more namelike and less wordy. I'd only consider it as a MN, though.

Hi number1212 !!!I much prefer Star.I love the name Stella that for an Italian person is as immediate as Star for you. I don't know why someone says that it is "stripper". Star is just star. Why would it be tacky? I like it! Simple and immediate!

Tacky. Stripper name. I'm not a huge fan of alternative spellings to begin with, but misspelling a common noun is going to be a lifelong headache. I definitely wouldn't recommend this name.

In general, I don't like alternate spellings, but alternate spellings of word names are the worst. They just look lazy and uneducated. Starr, though... stripper.

Star is better, but both are very stripper-stage-name.
