Ridwan does not mean the guard of heaven. It's an Arabic male name meaning "contentment, satisfaction", "approval" or "obedience", deriving from a root word meaning "to be pleased, to be satisfied". However, in Islamic tradition there is an angel named Ridwan who does guard the gates of heaven, but his duties have nothing to do with the name's meaning.
