My number one name though a big part of that is that it is my grandma’s name. I think it’s beautiful and classy. It sounds like a princess name but has plenty of nickname choices for everyday use like Genie, Jenny, Jen, Gen, Neve, Viv, Eve, Evie.

I love Genevieve. In fact, it's my cat's name. (I think it's a million times prettier than Jennifer.)

Genevieve is surprisingly more popular than I initially thought, at least on the East Coast (United States). I met quite a few Genevieves and Annabelles in college, and I'd never met anyone with either name before (we were all born late 80s, early 90s).Genevieve is really one of those "can't go wrong" names. It's elegant, slightly fancy, but not unheard of - and you get the "Gen / Jen" nickname without pretty-but-way-overused Jennifer.

In a French-speaking environment, it's fine. In English, it's too complicated, has a clunky rhythm and an unpleasing sound; plus, there is a better way to have a daughter called Jenny! It's called Jennifer, and it's still usable.

nah I dislike all those Gwen, Genevieve, Gwyneth ect names they all sound uncomfortable to my ears and feel like annoying old ladies but somehow they seem to be incredibly popular on this page idk
