[Opinions] WDYTO Storm?
I’m sure I asked this at some point already, but WDYTO Storm? It keeps popping into my head and I like it, but I feel like it might be too “out there”. I’m also worried that the meaning might be too negative. I only think about it for a boy, but it could work for a girl.

I met a little boy named Storm once. He was eight or nine years old, and the younger brother of one of my roommates in college. He was probably the politest, sweetest boy I've ever met at that age - the complete opposite of his name, it was almost bizarre. So that little boy is my association with Storm as a personal name, though I imagine he might be an outlier.

This is one of the names that I can't really make up my mind about. I like it and sometimes I'm all for actually using it, but at other times I'm very sure it isn't usable. Not much of an issue for me though, bc I'm pretty sure my husband would veto this anyway. I consider it male, despite the X-Woman.

It could work for a dog, but not on a resumé.

I absolutely love Storm!!

I agree that it comes off very negative. It doesn't make for a great first impression/resume. The child's teachers will have an image formed in their heads the minute they see that name on the roll.

I've known two Storm people, one male and one female. The boy was a very keen Scout and worked for and got the highest award, whatever that was at the time. Pleasant and forgettable. The girl was rather spoilt, rather forward and grew up to totally reject the parent who was responsible for her parents' marriage ending in divorce. That parent was not a nice person IMO, but a less vehement rejection should have been possible. So, in neither case did the meteorological meaning have any effect! That leaves the sound of the word, which I find OK but complicated to say if you're in a hurry. And there are no nns except Stormy, which has unfortunate implications. I would reject it without hesitation.
