I left a comment on your Richard post regarding my liking of the name and family history, but an additional reason I would choose Richard over Christopher:
Do you know how many guys named Chris that I know?!?! Too many, that's how many. Couple that with the gals named Chris, or Christi / Christie, and there are just too many dang Chrises in this world.
