I'm old enough, and watched enough damned TV as a kid, that it reminds me of Lorne Greene, who did the commentary on a mediocre nature documentary series called Lorne Greene's New Wilderness, and did commercials for Alpo dog food. He didn't seem terribly cool, handsome, or admirable to me at the time.
So now, to me it seems geriatric and kind of dorky.
And even if it didn't, it reminds me of the word lovelorn a whole lot. It even has the vibe, for me, of someone who would use that word with a straight face. Rhymes with mourn and scorn. Just unappealing to me. So I don't like it.
