[Opinions] Adelaide
I came across Adelaide while reading about the fires in Australia. Of course I understand Adelaide is a geographical name in Australia and evidently very rarely used as a fn, but then my name is Georgia. I live in the US, where Georgia is a state. And then there is the country too.Anyway I wonder about opinions of Adelaide. It seems to me it might become more popular because of the popularity of Ava, Ada, Amelia and even Abigail.

I like it. Places are named after people all the time. There’s a Rebecca, Georgia but that doesn’t disqualify it as a person’s name. It reminds me of the Guys and Dolls character and her song, so I always hear it in Frank Sinatra’s voice in my head. That can only be a good thing.Plus I find it feels very satisfying to say. It has a nice mouth feel, if that makes sense.

I really like it; it sounds soft and sweet to me. Sure it's a place, but so are a million other names. I much prefer it to Adeline or Adalynn that seem to be gaining popularity around here.

I love it, and since it was a name long before it was a place, I don't really see it as a place name. It also reminds me of Adelaide from Jordan Peele's Us.

Hello!:-)
I have always loved it.. It's always been a name to me.. By that I mean, one that I've heard, and always knew existed as a name.. I really like it! Alternatives that I like more include: Adalaide, Adalyn- AY-dah-lin, Adelaine, and Adreana- uh-DREE-nuh I also love Ada:)
