[Opinions] Re: WDYTO Denver?

I love it, but as a boy's name. It's a likely mn choice for a son for me, as it has importance to me as a place name.
I have a friend who has a brother named Denver. I guess I don't mind it as a girl's name, but I'm not sure why you state "for a girl, naturally." There must be something I don't know. I've only seen it used for boys in my experience.
I also don't understand the Amy-Denver connection, so I guess I don't think that's cheesey.
