Hyperion BooksIt's a great name for a publishing house, a great name for a fictional city, a great name for a game. But not a person. And it's a bit much for a pet beyond a fish.

Sounds like an affectionate nickname for a hyperactive child.

Honestly I don’t like it, and I don’t think it’s usable. Sounds like the name of an energy drink.

To me it somehow sounds more like the name of a ship or a research project than a human. I agree with some of the other commenters that "hyper" isn't a great name element. On the other hand, it's at least got some neat associations.

I love it! It's dashing and intellectual.

Over-ambitious. And shortens to Hype!

The hyper jokes will be never ending, and there isn't really a decent nickname which you'd want for a name that long.

Hi !!!I think that it is a beautiful, fascinating and underused. In my opinion all the mythological names need a comeback. I'm so tired of people saying 'nerdy'.

This is not good as a name for a person. And it's too unwieldy for a pet.
