[Opinions] Re: May
in reply to a message by slbond
I love May as a fn, although I prefer the Mae spelling. May can be a verb / adverb / auxiliary (my grammar terminology is rusty). E.g., May Olivia come out to play? Anyway:
May Olivia
May Alice
May Clementine
May Annabel
May Rosalind
May Eloise
May Adeline
May Christine
May Evelyn / Evelina
May Evangeline
May Genevieve
May Helen
May Winifred
May Isadora / Isidora
May Eliza
May Cecilia
May Victoria
May Imogen
May Georgina
May Ottilie
May Emmeline
May Vivien
May Frances
May Patricia
May Charlotte
May Isabelle
May Wilhelmina (pr. willa + mina)
May Astrid
May Susannah
May Cathleen
May Aisling
May Finola / Fiona
May Elspeth
May Catriona
May Gwendolen
May Lavinia
May Leticia / Letitia
May Drusilla
May Honoria
May Sylvia
Mae Caroline
I would avoid a flower or other noun as a mn. Ex: May Violet sounds like a violet that blooms in May.
