I've got a step-nephew named Lee who is a distinguished conservationist, very interesting and a delightful guy. But not even he can warm me up to the name. Perhaps that's because my first contact with it was as a female name with the spelling Leigh. And that, I like. No logic, just powerful feelings.
Leroy doesn't happen where I live. I'm glad about that: I really cannot find anything to like about it. I do like Roy, when it isn't tacked on to Lee, but the blend is undistinguished.
