Xavier is better.

Definitely unnecessary to have a X and a Z.

The only way this makes sense is if the parents were determined that Xavier is only pronounced ZAY-vyeer and wanted absolutely to make sure Xzavier's name was pronounced ek-ZAY-vyeer.It is, of course, redundant... but I can see the logic.

I don't mind Xavier, but this spelling is just unnecessary.

That's rather awful. Xavier or Zavier would be great though.

Oh don't you know, it's so much more ~~~unique~~~ than Xavier.
But yeah, that z is really unnecessary, looks ugly, and makes me feel like I should just hiss for awhile at the start if the name.

I've seen this before. I agree that he's a "poor child," but he'll probably fit in fine and not mind this spelling, reality being what it is.

Suppose they did it to force a pronunciation? I mean... I can understand Some people say Zow rather than Zo-ee with Zoe so that's part of the reason I prefer Zoey over Zoe, that and it looks more complete to me but Xzavier looks like a typo by somebody who wasn't sure how to spell Xavier. Looks like they went with Zavier but then they were told it's Xavier, and they were not careful about correcting the word and ended up with Xzavier. I don't think it looks good It's not the worst though but I'd have just gone with Xavier

I can sss that happening.. with the x being added.

Because it's fun? I guess.
You say the X as "EX."
Oh, but why not. It's not that bad. I'm over it. Kid'll probably like his name fine. That's not my preferred pronunciation though ... I would rather it be pronounced with a Z sound only.

I absolutely agree. Xavier itself is a very nice, solid name but this spelling is just...yikes. Zavier would even be passable.

I suppose they did it to guide the public into using their own preferred pronunciation: Ex-Zavier. And, yes, it is really sad.

I love Xavier, but this is an eyesore.

Yikes. Why not just name him Xavier or Zavier?
