I just found out about the Turkish name Esmeray and I really like it. What do you guys think?

Yeah, I like it too - it’s pretty. Like it more than Esme.

Ohhh I like it! Never heard of it until now, but it’s very pretty. It does look a little “made up” simply because of the spelling though!

I like it, too.

I'm not sure how it's pronounced, and it looks like a combination of Esme and Ray, and I'm not usually fond of combined names, but I do quite like it. Instinctively, I'd pronounce it EZ-meh-ray.

I prefer Esmerée for its associations with Blonde Esmerée / Esmerée the Blonde from Arthurian legend. I remember suggesting it years ago as an alternative for Renesmee so that's something that comes to mind for me and does detract from it now.

Looks like Renesme turned inside out. All in all, it's close to and not nearly as nice as Esme, so I don't see the point.

I've liked Esmeray for awhile. It's uncommon/fresh but still somewhat familiar due to Esme, May, Rey/Reya etc. I love the meaning, but I don't like the name enough to use it in real life. I think it would make a great name for a character, or an interesting middle name on a child.
