[Opinions] Re: Dinah & Camellia
I like Dinah a lot: strong and bright and unpretentious. We named a cat Alice because she was a little rescue tabby, an alley cat in fact; some years later we adopted a kitten and named her Dinah after Alice's (Wonderland) cat. Also the name of a distant great-great aunt. The only point against it is that it mostly shortens to Di, which is depressing.Camellia is too fancy and too floral, as well as redolent of dying sopranos and reminiscent of Kipling's camel and its camelious hump. I far prefer Camilla.

You’re right, Di is pretty depressing. Oh no, I hadn’t thought of camelious! Thanks!
