Does nothing for me, but isn't interesting enough to dislike. A real blob of a name.

I really like it and have for a number of years now. It's strong, classic, distinctive and has almost a vintage, rustic appeal to it that I admire.
I also like the similar name, "Albin"

I have loved Alden for YEARS! It’s always been near the top of my boys list. I find it is familiar but not popular.

It's pretty nice! My son had a swimming lesson with a boy named Alden once. His mom said ALL-den, not AL-den, which I prefer too.
It sounds ageless and calm. Not indoorsy, but not sporty either. And even though it's a surname, it's one that sounds enough like a first name that it doesn't seem deliberately frosty.

I've always liked it and thought it was a pretty sound. Only thing that worries me is that it'll be confused with Aidan, which I detest.

Good, strong, uncommon name. Has more substance / oomph than the similar, more popular Allen.
